Platforms and jump physics
| Platform | What happens | How to use it |
|---|---|---|
| Green | Stationary; automatic bounce | Use as the reliable main route |
| Blue | Moves horizontally at 38–60 pixels/second | Aim for its future position when descending |
| Brown | Breaks on contact; no bounce | Do not depend on it as your only landing |
| Spring | Launches faster and higher | Use the extra height to plan the next safe landing |
In the 420 × 680 game world, a normal launch is 500 pixels/second with gravity 1,050 pixels/second². Its theoretical rise is about 119 pixels; a spring rises about 233. Fixed physics updates keep these rules consistent across display refresh rates.
The main green route starts with roughly 75-pixel vertical gaps and 85-pixel widths. Gaps reach 90 pixels by 2,000 height and widths reach 67 by 5,000. Moving platforms are optional; a stationary route is generated throughout the climb.
Six skies, one continuous climb
| Height | Sky |
|---|---|
| 0–499 | Clear sky and sparse clouds |
| 500–1,499 | Wispy clouds and gentle air |
| 1,500–2,999 | Fluffy cloud sea |
| 3,000–4,999 | High-altitude windfield scenery |
| 5,000–9,999 | Blue sky with distant balloons |
| 10,000+ | Twilight and stars |
Scenes blend over a 350-height band around each boundary. Distant scenery changes before nearby clouds. Background clouds, kites and balloons are decorative: only the foreground gameplay objects interact with the cat. There is no fixed final level or finish line.
Difficulty has a ceiling; height does not
The normal platform gap reaches its maximum at 2,000 height, while platform width and moving-platform speed finish their ramps at 5,000. Beyond that, the numerical platform tuning does not keep getting harsher forever. New arrangements and obstacle combinations continue to make each run different.
The Star catcher medal at 10,000 marks a milestone rather than an ending. You can continue climbing through the starfield and chase a higher historical best. There is no hidden final stage or advertised prize at that threshold.
Which parts of a scene affect play?
The foreground ledges, springs and active obstacles determine movement and landings. Cloud bands, distant kite decorations, distant balloons and stars are scenery. The windfield is a visual sky theme; this release does not add a separate gust-force zone.
Scene colors blend around their thresholds, so the view near 500 or 1,500 can contain elements from two skies. That does not change the score or imply two levels are active at once.
