Cat Doodle Jump Help: Loading, Controls, Sound & Saves

Fix common browser-game loading, keyboard, touch, audio and saved-score issues without immediately deleting your progress.

Rules reviewed 2026-10-14

The page or artwork does not load

First confirm that you are on catdoodlejump.com and that JavaScript is enabled. Reload once if a download was interrupted. The game can use simplified fallback drawings when art fails; this does not change the basic platform rules.

Try a current browser or a normal browser window if an extension blocks scripts. Do not clear site storage as your first step: it contains your best height and medals. Download a backup first if the page is still usable.

The cat will not move

Start a run or resume a paused one. Use Left/Right or A/D, or hold either side of the board. Click the board once if keyboard focus is on another control. A modal medal notebook or backup preview must be closed before playing. Holding left and right together cancels steering.

On touchscreens, release and press again if your gesture was interrupted by a notification or another app. The game cancels released or interrupted pointers to prevent a stuck direction.

Sound is silent

Sound is off by default. Select Sound on after interacting with the page, then check device volume and browser mute settings. Audio uses short synthesized tones rather than downloaded music. Browser audio restrictions may require another direct click or tap.

My best height or medals are missing

Check the domain and browser profile first. The localhost development preview and production website keep separate records. Private windows and different devices also have separate storage. If you exported a backup, import it using the preview-and-merge flow.

A backup cannot reconstruct a run that was never saved or exported. Avoid repeatedly importing files until you have verified the filename and preview. Read the saving guide for exactly what is included.

Report a reproducible problem

Useful details are the page URL, game version (1.1), device, browser version, whether you used keyboard or touch, and the steps just before the problem. A screenshot can help. Do not include your full browser history or private credentials.

Email yoosenjet@luxenastudio.com with those details, or read the contact instructions. Sending opens your own email app; no report is transmitted automatically.
